USC Verdugo Hills

Los Angeles, CA

USC came to Linespace after acquiring Verdugo Hills Hospital to assist them with an extensive brand change of the hospital’s exterior and interior identity and wayfinding system. On an accelerated six month schedule our team worked closely with USC to successfully design and implement new “USC Verdugo Hills Hospital” signage. A hospital environment raises many wayfinding challenges as patients and visitors are often experiencing stressful situations. The new wayfinding signs provide clear and consistent information with the intention of eliminating any guesswork when it comes to knowing where to go.

Shortly after a successful exterior site and building renovation, which included the newly branded USC Verdugo Hills exterior sign program, work began on the interior remodel. Linespace worked closely with the University and project architect to design an OSHPD compliant identity and wayfinding sign program. The result is a sign system that enhances the user experience and compliments the new contemporary interior environment while reflecting the core characteristics of the USC brand.
