To meet rising demand in Huntington Beach’s thriving coastal tourism economy, the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort expanded its property and amenities with new dining, wellness, and leisure experiences. Linespace was engaged to name and brand these venues, crafting identities that embrace the rhythm of Southern California beach life while aligning with the resort’s elevated guest experience.

Linespace developed the visual identity for a collection of new amenities—spanning restaurants, lounges, pool bars, and family-friendly zones—each offering its own interpretation of oceanfront hospitality. The naming and design language for each brand was inspired by the region’s culture of surf, sun, and coastal exploration, while maintaining a refined tone consistent with Hilton’s brand standards.

Visual identities use sun-washed palettes, casual-yet-elegant typography, and illustrative accents drawn from local references—waving palms, seashells, docks, and boardwalk motifs. Signage and brand materials were thoughtfully integrated into the interiors, using textures like sand-toned wood, brushed metals, and layered surfboard silhouettes to echo the surrounding environment.

Each branded venue—from rooftop bars to breakfast cafés—plays a distinct role in the guest journey, while contributing to a unified resort experience. Whether lounging poolside, sipping cocktails above the waves, or heading out for a surf, guests encounter a consistent sense of Southern California lifestyle and Hilton-quality service.
