Perched above the bluffs of Rancho Palos Verdes, Terranea Resort opened in 2009 as the only luxury destination resort on the Los Angeles coast. Working closely with Lowe Enterprises, Linespace supported the resort’s initial development with brand applications and identity signage, and continued to expand the guest experience over time as new destinations and offerings were introduced.
Linespace created a multi-year brand strategy for Terranea’s expanding portfolio of amenities, including full identity systems for three of the resort’s restaurants, the retail store, a poolside venue, and the activities center. Each brand was carefully tailored to reflect the larger resort experience—emphasizing natural materials, understated elegance, and a Mediterranean sensibility with soft forms and timeless typography.
From custom wordmarks and signage palettes to environmental touchpoints and collateral assets, each sub-brand works in harmony with Terranea’s overarching identity while offering its own distinct tone and purpose. Whether dining at one of the coastal restaurants, shopping at the curated resort store, or gathering at the activities hub, guests encounter a seamless brand language rooted in place, luxury, and lifestyle.
