AV’s Turbo Dock was conceived as a flexible EV charging solution for workplace and public garage environments. Linespace was brought in to design a reliable, visually clean housing system that could adapt to a wide range of architectural contexts while leveraging AV’s existing TurboCord technology for cost and manufacturing efficiency. In tandem, we developed the architecture and visual design for a supporting mobile app to deliver a seamless user experience.
Linespace developed the Turbo Dock as a fixed, wall-mounted EV charging unit built around the AV TurboCord—transforming a portable charging product into a durable, workplace-ready system. The charger features a slim profile, integrated cable storage, and customizable faceplates to support diverse mounting and branding needs across commercial environments. Its design minimized footprint while maintaining consistency with AV’s industrial design standards.
In parallel, Linespace created the architecture and user interface for the Turbo Dock mobile app, designed to reinforce AV’s brand tone while simplifying the charging experience. The interface was structured for intuitive use, emphasizing confidence in charger status, clear start/stop control, and minimal steps to connect and charge. Visual elements—color palette, typography, iconography—were crafted to be cohesive with the product’s physical design language and AV’s broader communication standards.
By pairing physical product development with a digital interface system, Linespace ensured a consistent, user-centered experience across touchpoints. This holistic design approach helped AV deliver a competitive, scalable charging solution that could be deployed rapidly in commercial and office settings with minimal onboarding or training.
