As part of the repositioning of AERO Long Beach, a high-performance workplace campus by Kilroy Realty, Linespace was engaged to develop a complete wayfinding and signage masterplan. The scope spanned site identification, vehicular and pedestrian navigation, and full interior signage—supporting both long-term functionality and the refreshed brand character of the property.
Working closely with Kilroy’s internal design, leasing, and construction teams, Linespace led the wayfinding effort from concept through city approval, ensuring cohesion across architectural, marketing, and environmental elements. The masterplan addressed all key user journeys—tenants, guests, and service teams—while integrating seamlessly with the campus’s new identity and architectural upgrades.
Exterior scope included primary identity monuments, vehicular directionals, pedestrian signs, and building identifiers. Linespace managed fabrication administration for exterior signage, ensuring design intent and material quality were upheld through production and installation. For the interior environment, Linespace provided design-build services, delivering a coordinated signage system that supports tenant customization and amenity access with consistency and ease.
In addition, we developed amenity and tenant signage standards, along with a series of signage study packages for leasing teams—enabling rapid visualization of branding opportunities and regulatory signage allowances. Our collaboration extended to architects, interior designers, landscape teams, and Kilroy’s marketing partners to align the signage vision with the overall transformation of the AERO Long Beach campus.
